"Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that
the Lord is God. It is he who made us and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture." - Psalm 100:1-3

Welcome to Puppets Praising Christ!!
The puppet ministry at First Baptist Church has been active since 1977. It had almost completely disapated until Michael
O'Hara and friends started rebuilding the team in 1990. At this point, he became the unofficial "director" of what is now
known as Puppets Praising Christ (PPC for short). They met in a small basement room at First Baptist Church, where they developed
shows that they performed during Children's Church and at the annual Jean Lake Festival. Several PPC icons were created during
this time. Reverend Jake The Snake and Deacon Jack the Turtle became centerpieces for the shows. Near the end of the century,
the team made a large transformation. Some of the older members moved on in their lives and new members joined to fill their
shoes. Along with new members came a move to a new location, to the current practice room inside the FBC office building.
As we have begun a new era, spirits and shows seem to be soaring. Besides regular performances in children's church,we have
begun to add special performances in regular church services and special seasonal shows. We also began attending puppet workshops
and festivals in order to build our puppetry skills. Just recently, we have also begun to perform for local community events
and receive invites frequently to perform at special out of town children's events.

The Puppets Praising Christ logo holds many meanings in its design. The color yellow is a sign of divinity in the Christian
faith. The three equal sides of the triangle represent the Trinity, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, and their equal
importance in the lives of Christians. The cross in the middle symbolizes faith in the center of our lives.
