If I speak perfectly with my puppet, but do not have love, I have become just another noisy character or entertainer.
And if I have spoken God's word through my puppet, know all about the Bible, and have faith enough to believe
the puppet team can do a great job, but do not have love, I really can't do anything.
And if I give all my time to puppet practice, and sacrifice money from a job to go, but do not have love, I haven't
gained a thing.
Love is patient when i have to wait my turn to perform. Love is kind when someone has stepped on my toe behind the
stage. Love is not jealous when someone has more parts than I do. Love does not brag and is not arrogant when I know I've
done a great job and others have told me so.
Love does not act foolish and ruin my Christian witness. Love does not demand its own way when I know that my idea
was the best one. Love is not easily provoked to anger when someone has criticized my puppetry, and love does not build up
walls against that person who has said things about me.
Love is not happy when someone else has goofed and not me, but love is glad when someone else does a great job and
they get praise.
Love bears the bad performance as well as the good ones. Love believes that God can use the imperfect performances
as well as the perfect ones. Love hopes for God's will to be worked in every performance. Love endures the hard practices
as well as fun times.
Love, when I put it first in my puppetry, never fails.
